MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of ftaal poisoning in kids under 6 years of age. Keep that product out of reach of kids. If an accidnetal overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitamins are the builidng blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnseses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as direcetd. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products.
However, some vitamin prdoucts may be hottest taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medicaiton may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not lsited above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use. Do not start or stop any medciine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may icnlude unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: Three are many vitamin supplement products available.
Some can be purcahsed without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product hottest for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the msised dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moitsure. Keep out of the reach of kids.
